I work there with cruise ships as a guide and ground handler. 2023 looks set to be our busiest year yet. It looks like there will be some changes to the piers used next year with perhaps more use of Saltburn pier. Unfortunately for most of this year the pipe band has been unable to come into the port due to each piper needing to attend a health and safety briefing – let’s hope they get back in for 2023 as it is a great send off. Also cruising out of the Cromarty Firth between the sandstone peaks – the Sutors – back into the North Sea is a good spot to see some Bottlenose dolphins.
